Enzyme Injection/Fine Dissection
The trimmed pancreas is transferred to a new hood where cold, dissolved digestive enzymes (collagenase plus supplemental enzymes) are injected into the main duct. During the automated pump controlled perfusion of these enzymes the pancreas is trimmed further.
